Creating the best wedding day timeline is incredibly important and affects so many aspects of the day. But if you don’t have the right ceremony time based on sunset, then your Phoenix wedding photographers and Scottsdale wedding photographers will have a hard time creating the images your want. So some things to consider when creating your timeline are, lighting for photography, venue contracted timeline, catering hair, makeup and more. We have photographed over 800 wedding so we have a pretty good idea of what works and what doesn’t.
So the first questions I’ll ask you is if you want to do a first look or not. A first look is when our couple agrees to see each other prior to the ceremony. It also allows us more opportunity for couple portraits but also allows your family and bridal party to partake in the full cocktail hour. Another aspect to consider is church ceremonies… often time they are a bit earlier in the day so the first look may not be best for your wedding. Either way we will get all the details in order to make a good starting timeline for you.
Below I have included two different schedules based on a March wedding. One is for those couple who want to do a first look and the other is for no first look. But if your ceremony and reception are held at different locations, your schedule will look a bit different. I’d be happy to create one based on your wedding specifics. Alternatively, if you have a wedding planner they will most likely be creating a wedding day schedule for you. If you are looking for a wedding planner, check out my post about that HERE.
