Snooping thru your boyfriends luggage hoping to find the engagement ring you two had been shopping for… That’s what Rachel did but had no luck finding it in his bags. Last summer Rachel had graduated from pharmacy school, which is where the two met, and Colton wanted to celebrate her graduation with a cruise to the Mexican Riviera. She thought maybe it was too much a hassle to get the ring on the ship without her knowing so didn’t bring it. They enjoyed a few days on the cruise with lots of sun and relaxation. The formal dinner night of the cruise came and they got dressed up and headed off to get some cocktails before dinner. They met another couple on the cruise and started some conversation with them and found they had been married for 40 years!! Rachel and Colton joined them for dinner and listened carefully as they shared some wisdom on lasting relationships. After dinner the two headed back to the cabin where Rachel stepped out to the balcony to take in the view of the massive ocean and giant waves. After a few moments, she turned around to find Colton on one knee with the ring in his had asking her to marry him. Thru the happy tears she is able to say the word she wanted to say for a while… YES!
During Colton and Rachel’s Scottsdale desert engagement session I learned these two have such a great love for each other. The smiles tell all. The way he looks at her and hold her close. Not to mention their favorite quality about each other is very similar… compassion and caring attitude. Counting down the days till they say “I do!”
