Delightful Joyous Wedding | Katy & Rory
As the Client Relationship Coordinator for their photographer, I couldn’t be more excited to share the details of this sweet and casual celebration. From the beautiful backyard ceremony to the laughter-filled reception, everything about Katy and Rory’s delightful joyous wedding was pure joy!
The couple chose Katy’s parents’ home as their venue, which made the entire day feel incredibly intimate and personal. They didn’t need anything fancy – just a simple setup that reflected their love and the relaxed vibe they wanted. And let me tell you, their backyard was the perfect place for it! With a few thoughtful touches and a gorgeous view, it felt like the ideal space for such a delightful gathering.
One of the most memorable moments? During the ceremony, Katy’s mom officiated, and the couple exchanged vows with so much warmth and joy. But the best part? Katy pulled out a Nerf gun when the officiant asked if anyone objected – talk about keeping things lighthearted! And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Katy’s mom gifted them a $10 McDonald’s gift card as a keepsake. It was all just so special, so them.
The vibe of the day was definitely casual and fun, but with an underlying sense of love and joy. The bridesmaids wore soft rose-colored dresses, while the groomsmen kept it light with tan suits. Everything about their wedding just felt right.
One last thing that really stood out was the violinist. It added such a lovely, enchanting touch to the ceremony and gave the day an extra sprinkle of elegance. What a truly joyous celebration!
