Angelina & Gage got married at Events On Jackson in downtown Phoenix. This was an emotional intimate wedding in every sense, and it was also one of the most beautifully built days we’ve photographed this year. There’s a reason for that.
Gage works for Divinity Event Production, one of the most well-known rental companies in the Valley. So does his mom, Melissa. When the people who build weddings for a living build their own, you notice. Crystal chandeliers, soft draping, candlelit floating florals down the aisle. Every piece felt like it belonged. Leslie’s close with Melissa, so this day was personal for our whole team.
September in Phoenix is hot, and Events On Jackson was the right call. It’s an indoor venue with exposed brick and a warehouse feel, and there’s just enough outdoor space nearby that we could still get the couple out into the light.
The bridesmaids wore deep chocolate brown. The groomsmen matched in brown shirts, and Gage wore a brown suit with a bolo tie and boots. Angelina’s embroidered white cowboy boots peeked out from under her gown all night. Her bouquet was toffee and blush roses with strands of pearls trailing from it.
Our favorite detail greeted guests at the door: a gold mirror with lace draped over the top, a white cowboy boot filled with florals at its base, and “You look fabulous. Wow Let’s Party!” written across the glass.
Gage’s youth pastor officiated the ceremony. He gave Angelina & Gage their very first husband and wife Bible. Then he led a prayer over their marriage, and their family and friends came forward and laid their hands on the two of them. That moment is the one we keep coming back to in this gallery.
Here’s what stood out to us all day. Gage took care of Angelina. He made sure everything was right and she was comfortable. If she wanted a drink, he made sure she got one. And the way he looks at her is all over this gallery. You’ll see it before you read about it.
Everyone around them was calm and ready to go, which made our job easy. A calm couple and a calm crew make for a relaxed day, and it shows in their faces.
Gage had one specific ask: portraits outside at the painted red brick warehouse wall, the old Sturges Hay & Grain Co. and Capitol Warehouse sign. At sunset the whole wall glowed, and the wedding party turned it into a dance party.
The dance floor was epic, packed with family and friends from start to finish. The grand entrance had people cheering with their arms in the air. This was a room full of people who showed up for Angelina & Gage, including so many vendor friends and the whole Divinity crew.
Congratulations, Angelina & Gage on your emotional intimate wedding. Thank you for letting us be part of it, again.
