There’s something so special about photographing a couple who is genuinely excited for every moment together, and Kathleen and Connor were exactly that. From the moment we stepped into the desert at the base of the Superstition Mountains, their joy filled the whole evening. The desert light was soft and golden, the kind that makes everything feel warm and magical. It set the perfect stage for their Enchanting Romantic Engagement session, and I knew right away their gallery was going to be something special.

These two have such a sweet story. They met at a wedding—Kathleen as a bridesmaid and Connor as a groomsman—and even though they didn’t walk down the aisle together, fate clearly had plans. They were seated side by side at the reception, and the connection was instant. Their families noticed it. Their friends noticed it. Before long, they were doing everything together and building a life that felt natural, fun, and full of love. And just after their one-year anniversary, Connor asked her parents for their blessing, later proposing overlooking the beautiful red rocks of Sedona. How romantic is that?

During their session, they were so easygoing and full of laughter. They joked with each other, ran through the desert paths, and took in the views like they were on their favorite hike — which is fitting, because the Superstitions are Kathleen’s favorite mountains. The dramatic peaks, desert plants, and soft pink sky were the perfect backdrop for a couple who is equal parts charming and adventurous. Their chemistry made every pose feel effortless and every candid moment even sweeter.

I left this session more excited than ever for their wedding day. Kathleen and Connor have a love that’s fun, timeless, and overflowing with joy — the kind that makes you smile behind the camera the whole time.
