Elise and Carl’s engagement session at Papago Park was such a fun way to start the day. We met just after sunrise, and the desert felt calm and fresh. The recent rain brought out rich red rocks, soft greens, and even a little water reflecting the morning light. Right away, Elise and Carl were smiling, laughing, and completely ready to enjoy every moment together. This was truly a Fun captivating Engagement, and you could feel the excitement from the start.

These two met while they were students at the University of Arizona through mutual friends, and they’ve been together ever since. Ten years, three cross-country moves, and one very loved dog later, Carl proposed during a family beach vacation in Pawley’s Island, South Carolina. Even though they now live in Virginia, they made a special trip back to Arizona to check off wedding to-dos and capture their engagement photos before their April 2026 wedding.

The morning came with a few challenges, including road closures from a big race nearby. Still, Elise and Carl handled everything with the best attitude. They stayed relaxed, joked through the detours, and never once felt stressed. That easygoing energy made the session feel natural and light, and it let their connection shine in every photo.

By the end of the shoot, it was clear how excited they are for their wedding day. Their joy, patience, and love for each other made this session unforgettable. I loved capturing this Fun captivating Engagement at Papago Park, and I can’t wait to celebrate Elise and Carl again as they step into their next chapter together.
