Ashleigh and Anthony’s fun engagement session in Downtown Phoenix was everything you hope for when you get a couple who just enjoy being together. From the moment we started walking through downtown Phoenix, their energy was easy, natural, and honestly so much fun to photograph. You could feel how excited they are for their wedding day, and that excitement showed up in every smile, laugh, and little in-between moment.

This couple met in the most unexpected way—as neighbors in Arcadia Lite who were both a little over the dating scene. After a day out with friends at a drag brunch downtown, Anthony made Ashleigh one of his signature cocktails, and that was it—they connected right away. They bonded over music, family, and life, and after a little encouragement (and courage), Anthony asked her out. Fast forward three years, and now they’re building a life together with their golden retriever, Daisy, and planning their December 2026 wedding.

Choosing downtown Phoenix for their fun engagement session felt so personal to them. It’s where they go for concerts, date nights, and trying new restaurants, so it made perfect sense to capture this season of their life right in the middle of it all. We explored different corners of the city, stopping anywhere that caught their eye, which kept the whole session feeling spontaneous and true to them.

One of my favorite parts? The pizza moment. They brought along a custom pizza box as a nod to Anthony’s Italian roots, and we grabbed some playful shots near Pizzeria Bianco (even if we didn’t stay long 😄). It was such a fun and unique touch that made their session feel even more “them.” Sessions like this remind me why I love what I do—capturing couples who are genuinely in love, having fun, and counting down the days until “I do.”
