Liana and Keith’s Japanese Friendship Garden Engagement Session
Meeting thru an online dating site can be a scary thing but when your first date lasts for five hours you just know there is a great connection. Talking so open and comfortable with one another as the time flew by is exactly what happened for Liana and Keith. And it turns out, that date was their favorite date.

As I am learning about how Keith proposed, I can even comprehend how he kept all these plans a secret from Liana!! When the day came, he told her they were going to a murder mystery dinner for her birthday and to wear a nice dress. As they walked into the hotel, Liana was thinking they would be walking into someones wedding reception. Keith assured her this is where their dinner was so go on in. She walks thru the doors and sees her family and friends sitting at the tables (lots of them coming from California!). The DJ starting playing “their” song and she looks around for Keith to dance, Liana’s brother and son find her and escort her to the dance floor where Keith met her. He dropped to his knee, diamond in hand (and it’s one amazing diamond!!) and asked her to marry him. She described the room to look like a wedding reception with a three tier cake, center pieces, a DJ, catering, open bar and even a butterfly ice sculpture. The butterflies, which were everywhere, symbolize Liana dad who she lost in a recent accident. And she was in awe! Keith told her “I wanted you to know your dad was here with us and I want you to feel his presence.”

When Liana mentioned they wanted the engagement session at the Japanese Friendship Garden I may have done a little happy dance as the property is beautifully maintained with such great scenery! The Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix has footbridges, lanterns, flowing streams and waterfalls, a koi pond, tea garden and tea house. A perfect location for fun & romantic engagement. Then add Liana’s smile Keith mentioned and it was like pure magic! I can’t tell you how great these two are, how much fun we had and that I can’t wait for their wedding next spring. It was a blast!
