Website Launch! and Giveaway!!
Hi Friends, I can’t believe it’s finally here! After many stressful days and a heart full of joy, I want to say, “Welcome!” I’m SO glad you are here and I’m excited to share this little part of the inter web with you!
Starting a business is usually a crazy journey and I did that once, 15 years ago starting Lasting Images Photography. So I thought a name change would be lots easier!! I was wrong, it’s just as much work. While this new brand has been in the works since January, the new name I’ve been thinking about changing for the last 4 years. I have been re-inspired by so many wedding professionals and friends (and some don’t even know how much they inspire others!). This inspiration created the desire to put ME in my business, to offer my uniqueness and strengths to enhance The Wedding Experience for my couples.
I want to enhance my image and create an experience for couples that is more personalized and less “cookie cutter” like. I feel very passionate that the couples who hire me, deserve a photography experience filled with encouragement, love and laughter! I accomplish this by really getting to know them and making our time together feel very natural and relaxed. I love that couples walk away having had a great time, and because of that, their images will reflect the same joy!
My hope is that by changing my company name, it will remove that sterile, “corporate” feeling. Instead, it will connect you with a name and face, which will begin the process of developing a relationship, before we have even met.
I will never forget the day I officially decided to make the name change. It was just a few days after taking a workshop with Amy & Jordan, where we sat around till almost 1am chatting about business ideas and ways to freshen up what I felt was old and out-dated. Sitting at my computer, searching for something… who knows what… and then it hit me, energy out of no where to finalize the name change. It was surely a confirmation from God that hit me like a freight train. I will admit I was scared (and still am a bit) that the change wouldn’t be well received but I did it anyway.
I have felt God’s goodness so many times thru this process as so many people have been more than generous as sounding boards, with their wisdom, and encouragement as I make this change. The crew over at Showit for their technical support as well as Field Denny and Julie Wilmes for a little design advise, Amy & Jordan for the encouragement and brain storming session and Emily Edwards & Stacey Poterson for being my sounding board. Thank you all so much!! Your time and efforts are invaluable to me!
