Most of us don’t have the pleasure of meeting our fiancé in high school, but for those like Sarah and Josh that do… they get to spend nearly a lifetime together. What a lucky couple! Their engagement photographer took them to Lost Dutchman State Park located in Apache Junction, Arizona. The pops of greens and array of native Arizona landscape acts as a perfect backdrop for any photo. And we just LOVE Arizona desert engagement sessions that include the amazing ground brush and tall saguaros! What we don’t like are the critters moving beneath it all. There’s no better picture than one of a couple on the brink of golden hour! Be sure to check back in a couple weeks to see their wedding at Villa Siena.
Here’s some details I found on the park… named after the fabled lost gold mine, Lost Dutchman State Park is located in the Sonoran Desert, 40 miles east of Phoenix. Several trails lead from the park into the Superstition Mountain Wilderness and Tonto National Forest. If you’re luck and depending on the rainfall, you might be treated to a carpet of desert wildflowers in the spring.
**UPDATE: You don’t want to miss all the pretty our wedding photographer helped to create. Check out their wedding images HERE.
