Jocelyn and Gus are enough to make your heart stop… at least that what happened for me for the engagement photos. Once we added their two little boys into the mix, they were utterly adorable. To some photographers, kids can be a stressor. To me, kids are an opportunity to make the photographs even more intimate and add an extra layer of cuteness. I had so much fun with this family! I am so eager to see this sweet couple and the two boys head down the aisle!

The Beautiful Backdrop

Jocelyn and Gus picked the prime location for their engagement photos and Gus picked the perfect time of the year to propose! As a result, the couple had the most beautiful field of wildflowers to capture these candid moments in. How lucky did they get! The Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch is one of the prime picture spots in Gilbert, AZ housing a variety of succulents and greenery; and sometimes even flowers! The rustic wooden fences surrounding a good portion of the preserve make for a great picture element and an even better spot for the boys to sit while Jocelyn and Gus were photographed. The saguaros throughout the preserve are another “wow” element. They have stood for many many years, adding a bit of a desert to the city. They also create contrast in the photographs compared to the other vegetation that stands close to the ground. Each component of this preserve comes together to form the perfect picture spot!
