Coon Bluff is in located in the Tonto National Forest and borders the lower portion of the Salt River. You’ll find some great desert landscaping that we love photographing engagement and family sessions at and if you’re lucky you’ll be able to see some of the wild horses roaming around. There’s a river access point for tubing and water activities in addition to barbecues for grilling. Definitely a place you can spend an entire day at. Best part… it’s only a 30 minute drive from downtown Gilbert. If you do decide to visit, keep in mind that you will need to obtain a Tonto parking pass from one of the gas stations before you get there.
Leslie Ann Photographer, Andrea, photographed Olivia and Ryan’s engagement session out at Coon’s Bluff and created some fantastic images! They were able to use some of the mature mesquite trees and pathways, the red bluffs and the water as their backdrops. Every time we go there, it looks slightly different because of the water levels but it’s always amazing! Be sure to check out their cute little pup the included in the photos.
If you’d like to see more sessions at Salt River, view them HERE.
