As a photographer, there’s nothing quite like capturing the colors of a warm fall engagement session, especially when the trees are changing colors and there’s a playful couple in front of me. Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting Amanda & David for their session in Tonto National Forest at Coon Bluff along the edge of the Salt River.
Living in the desert we don’t get to see my color change during the fall, seems like it usually only lasts 7 days. But between the color change and the glow of the sun, the colors were amazing and I couldn’t wait to start capturing the love between these two.
As the session began, the playful energy of the couple was infectious. They weren’t afraid to be themselves and their love and joy shone through in every shot. We explored the area together, stopping at different locations to take advantage of the stunning scenery – from the banks of the river to the surrounding trees. The interactive playfulness between the couple made my job so easy as I clicked away.
With each shot, it became clear that this was the perfect setting for this warm fall engagement session. The contrast of the changing leaves against the still river and the panoramic views of the desert mountains made for a session like no other. I was able to capture the perfect moments of the couple gazing at each other in front of the vibrant colors and capturing not only their intimate moments of connection and love but all the playfulness of their relationship too.
As we wrapped up the session, I knew we had captured some amazing images and was really looking forward to their wedding day. It’s sessions like this that make my job as a Phoenix wedding photographer an absolute privilege and an honor.
