Kiley and Dylan’s engagement session at The Meadow felt like stepping into a little hidden garden right in the middle of Arizona. Their entire shoot had such a whimsical, romantic feel, and it was honestly the perfect setting for this Whimsical Intimate Session. Between the soft greenery, wildflowers, and dreamy light, every photo felt peaceful and enchanting. Kiley joked that after growing up in Arizona and seeing “about 10 million cacti” in her lifetime, she definitely did not want cactus-filled engagement photos. The Meadow gave them exactly what they wanted instead — lush scenery that almost felt like Colorado mixed with a romantic garden escape.
This couple’s story is one of my favorites because it started with a dating app match and a very nervous first date at the aquarium. Dylan had recently moved to Arizona and finally worked up the courage to ask Kiley out. Since Dylan loves fish, Kiley suggested the aquarium and casually mentioned there was also a sloth there, which apparently helped seal the deal. The funniest part is that they both showed up 20 minutes early without realizing the other person was already there too. Once they started talking, though, the nerves completely disappeared. They spent hours bonding over music, Disney, childhood memories, and even accidentally waited in the wrong spot for a show that didn’t exist because they were so caught up talking to each other.
During their Whimsical Intimate Session, you could instantly see how comfortable and connected they are together. Every little laugh, forehead touch, and quiet moment felt natural and effortless. They made each other smile nonstop, and their chemistry made photographing them so easy and fun. The soft floral surroundings paired perfectly with their playful and intimate connection, creating such a timeless and enchanting vibe throughout the entire session.
Their proposal story was just as sweet. After two years together, Kiley had a feeling something big was coming the morning Dylan randomly asked her to steam his pants. Later that day, they drove to Sedona and stopped at the winery where they had first talked seriously about marriage the year before. Right there in the courtyard, Dylan got down on one knee, and Kiley immediately burst into tears and said, “yes of course.” After spending time with these two, I already know their wedding day is going to be filled with so much joy, emotion, and love, and I truly cannot wait to capture it all.
