Matlin and Joe’s Desert Disco Wedding in Scottsdale, Arizona was one for the books! As soon as I arrived at The Scottsdale Plaza Resort, I could feel the excitement buzzing through the air. After 14 years together, these high school sweethearts were finally saying “I do,” and they brought all their favorite people from New Jersey to celebrate in true desert style.

From the moment the ceremony began, the emotions flowed. Joe was adorably teary-eyed as Matlin walked down the aisle, and everyone melted when her brother—who also officiated—shared heartfelt words about their journey together. Instead of a traditional unity candle or sand ceremony, the couple mixed a margarita together, complete with a fun relationship analogy that had everyone smiling. It was such a perfectly “them” moment!

The décor brought their Desert Disco theme to life—amber fall tones, glimmering touches, and that warm Arizona sunset lighting everything up just right. The private courtyard made for an intimate ceremony, and guests loved moving to the patio for cocktail hour and a night full of dancing under the stars. Between the Arizona Street Fare buffet, the gelato bar, and a packed dance floor, it was impossible not to have the best time ever.

Matlin and Joe’s goal was simple: create a weekend where everyone could relax, laugh, and dance the night away—and they absolutely nailed it. Every detail reflected who they are: emotional, radiant, and gorgeous inside and out.

This Desert Disco Wedding was more than a celebration—it was a joyful reflection of a love that’s been growing since high school, now shining brighter than ever under the Arizona sky.
