The Long Awaited Engagement Session | Lauren & Felix

How They Met

The long awaited engagement of Lauren and Felix who met in Parker, AZ. where Lauren was originally from while Felix was visiting family. Though the two would have never known, meeting on the night of March 17, 2006, this was the beginning of something that would be forever lasting. About a week later, they took the leap and began dating on March 23, 2006 (long distance as Felix was living in California). Over a year later after Lauren graduated HS, she made the decision to move to California to attend college and live near Felix. The Summer 2007 went well for Lauren and Felix. Life was great living near each other and they were able to spend fun times together. Fast forward a few months to September 2007, Lauren and Felix announced their pregnancy. Their first child, Savannah, was born in July 2008.

We Read the Book Backwards

Lauren and Felix took a HUGE step in life and purchased their first home in Pomona, CA in March 2014. Shortly after purchasing their first home was the announcement of their second pregnancy. In February 2015 they welcomed their second daughter, Natalie. They had always discussed getting married and what life would be like, however never took that next step in doing so. They joke stating, “We read the book backwards.”

The Engagement

Lauren had a family photo session planned, which Felix secretly had additional plans other than photos. On March 17, 2019… coincidentally 13 years to the date, after Lauren and Felix had met for the very first time. Felix got down on one knee and proposed to Lauren. Not only did he catch Lauren by surprise, but Savannah & Natalie were just as in shock. Felix had planned this proposal perfectly and had the photographer in on it too!! The moment Lauren had been waiting for had finally arrived. Wedding plans started… and the rest will be written after their wedding day!

Their Papago Park Engagement Session

When Lauren told me they wanted to come to Arizona for their engagement session, I knew we had to do it Papago Park. The session came with a bit of excitement as they had friends back in California who were announcing the gender of their baby. So we paused our session for a few minutes to watch the event on Facebook Live. Our session was so fun and it was great to see my cousin (Lauren) so happy! Obviously I can’t wait for their wedding!
