Gwen & Brandon’s Love Story

It’s not often that the bride and groom fills us in on their whole love story. But when they do, we love to share their adorable adventure! Gwen and Brandon met by chance through one of his groomsmen, Matt. Gwen was matched with Matt on eHarmony and consequently set up a date. However before the date happened, they both realized they weren’t a great romantic match. And that’s when Brandon entered the picture. Call Matt a love doctor, because he set Brandon and Gwen up together, thinking they might have a lot in common. When the two went on their first date there wasn’t a break in the conversation except to chew. Gwen said within a few weeks, she knew he was the one. Six months later they got engaged. A year and a month later, we got to witness their beautiful Oakwood wedding. For those of you that have doubt in online dating, think again!

An Oakwood Wedding

We were very excited to photograph this wedding thanks to the change of scenery. Photographing at a less common wedding venue is new and exciting, but definitely more difficult because you have to dig deep to find the best picture spots. Thankfully, this venue was stunning enough that any and all pictures turned out beautiful. IronOaks at Sun Lakes provides a clean cut setting of manicured lawns, lakeside views, and elegant decor that can fit up to 400 guests! The property itself is breathtaking showcasing the greenest grass and an array of palm trees and other greenery, making it look like paradise! Gwen and Brandon has a romantic outdoor ceremony right in front of a crystal clear pond with flowing fountains. Thanks to all the natural light, the two were glistening at the altar, making for a dream-like, whimsical ceremony. Even when the party moved indoors for the reception, the venue was still vibrant and beaming. We are so happy we got to share and capture this special day with Gwen and Brandon! We wish you two the best!
